1) We apply Kleresca®gel to the skin,
2) The gel is illuminated for 9 minutes using a multi-LED Kleresca® lamp
3) The blue light from the lamp is converted into fluorescent light energy that reduces pimples, redness and painful inflammation in the skin.

ROSACEA
What is it:
Rosacea is a chronic skin condition that primarily affects the face. It is characterized by redness, visible blood vessels, pimples, and sometimes thickened skin. Symptoms can range from mild to severe and may appear in cycles of flare-ups and remission.

Causes and Symptoms:
The exact cause of rosacea is not fully understood but is believed to involve a combination of genetic factors, environmental influences, and blood vessel reactivity. Treatment can include prescription medication, skincare, and lifestyle changes to reduce symptoms and prevent worsening.

Common symptoms include:
Redness (Erythema): Persistent facial redness, especially on the cheeks, nose, forehead, and chin.
Visible Blood Vessels (Telangiectasia): Small, visible blood vessels on the skin’s surface, often in reddened areas.
Pimples (Papulopustular Rosacea): Red, swollen bumps or pustules resembling acne, which may be painful or pus-filled.
Thickened Skin (Phymatous Rosacea): Thickened skin, especially around the nose (rhinophyma), giving it a bumpy or enlarged appearance.
Eye Problems (Ocular Rosacea): Irritation, dryness, redness, a gritty sensation in the eyes, eyelid inflammation, and possible vision disturbances.
Sensitivity: Increased sensitivity to certain skincare products, cosmetics, sunlight, heat, or cold.

Symptoms can appear in cycles and may worsen due to factors such as stress, alcohol, spicy foods, and heat.

Treatment:
Rosacea treatment with Kleresca® works by applying a special gel that interacts with light from the Kleresca® lamp. This gel contains chromophores that, when activated by the lamp, convert into fluorescent light, penetrating the skin layers and stimulating cellular activity.

The treatment is usually painless, though some may experience a slight tingling sensation. It takes only a few minutes, and you can resume daily activities immediately. Initially, symptoms may temporarily worsen, and pigmentation spots may become more visible, but these effects usually fade quickly. A soothing cream is provided after treatment.

After several sessions, improvements are typically visible, including reduced redness and a decrease in burning or stinging sensations.
We usually recommend a series of 4-6 treatments, with one session per week. Depending on your needs, follow-up treatments once or twice a year may be beneficial.
What can worsen rosacea?
Rosacea is a skin condition that can be aggravated by a variety of factors. These include triggers such as spicy foods, alcohol, heat, cold, stress, and certain skin care products. For some people, even sunlight and wind can trigger symptoms. Identifying these triggers and avoiding them can be key to managing rosacea and preventing the condition from getting worse.

How does it typically develop?
Rosacea develops gradually through different stages. It often begins with facial redness and visible blood vessels, which can escalate into pustules, pimples, and thickened skin. Over time, this can result in persistent redness and other visible symptoms. It is important to understand that rosacea is a chronic condition, but with appropriate treatment, symptoms can be relieved and the condition can be kept under control.

How do you best take care of your skin when you have rosacea?
To effectively care for skin with rosacea, it is important to follow some guidelines. Use skin care products that are mild and hypoallergenic, and avoid those that contain alcohol or harsh chemicals. When washing your face, do so gently with lukewarm water and a mild cleanser. Protect your skin from the sun by using a broad-spectrum sunscreen with a high SPF. Identify and avoid personal triggers that may worsen your symptoms. Finally, Kleresca treatment is an effective way to reduce the symptoms of rosacea.

Clinical studies show that Kleresca® skin rejuvenation can increase collagen production by up to 400%.
How effective is the treatment?

Kleresca® skin rejuvenation is particularly effective for facial treatments, but can also be used with good results on the neck, décolleté and hands.
